South of the March Demo 0.1.2 Released
June 13th, 2026
Version 0.1.2 of the South of the March Demo is now live on Itch.io and Steam!
Update Details
Everything's been going well since the demo release!
Nothing too crazy has happened, and we've been gathering feedback and bug reports, as well as continuing to hammer on some features that are in the pipeline already. We're getting close to the start of Steam Next Fest, so hopefully no more major changes, but definitely still let us know (anywhere that's convenient) if you run into any issues, or anything else you want to share. It's always great hearing what people are taking away from this!
There are two new features in this one. The first is significant:
Autosave

The Autosave will always be your first available "load" slot signified by the "AUTO" overlay on the thumbnail. It automatically saves every time you return to the overworld map, so it should prevent you from losing significant progress in case you just forget to save, and it should also prevent the possibility of getting yourself stuck behind a difficulty wall if you, for example, manually save just before a battle with a severely unprepared party. You can always adjust difficulty in a case like that, but that's understandably not something everybody's going to want to do.
The next feature is just a little UI update:
Additional Status Info

This one is a revamp of the status info popover, which initially just showed you which statuses were currently active during battle. Now it'll also let you know who has each status
The rest are mostly bug fixes, some reported and some preemptive:
